NATO donates for blind people in Bitola

BITOLA , Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* - The NATO representative, Chief of NATO's Liaison Office Skopje, Slovenian Navy Captain Bartol, attended the handover ceremony of the NATO Charity Bazaar donation to the Association of blind people, September 16, 2017.
Computers equiped with specialized software to the value of 10.000 Euro have been donated by the NATO Charity Bazaar and in addition by the Bitola's GAUS Institute for new technologies, innovations and transfer of knowledge to the Association of blind people in Bitola. The total value of the entire donation represents 15.000 Euro.
The donation enables the blind people to use internet, and includes computerized appliance as such as ten laptop computers, numerous printer devices and network equipment as well as special software for blind people adjusted to the country’s language.
All computers contain the so-called screen leader software adapted for the blind in their language which allows them to enter the world of information technologies and voice communications.
