The Dutch Ambassador visits NATO Liaison Office Skopje

The Dutch Ambassador to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*  Skopje, HE W. Wouter Plomp, visited the premises of NATO Liaison Office Skopje, March 15, 2017.

Ambassador Mr. Plomp has been welcomed by the Chief, Slovenian Navy Captain Gorazd Bartol, and members of the NATO Advisory Team.
During the meeting, received a comprehensive brief on the structure, terms of reference, mission, tasks, main activities and contributions of the Office.

In the course of the discussion, the Chief NLO Sk briefed on the current and possible future change in the subordination of the Office, and also about ways that NATO is considering towards increasing visibility of the Alliance within the Host Nation.
Later on, the topics turned to the current political situation in the country, where both interlocutors noted the importance of EU’s and NATO’s harmonized approach towards normalization of the issues involved. Mr. Plomp expressed his gratitude for the detailed briefing and promised his support for any upcoming NATO initiatives.

The visit concluded with the mutual insurance to continue the excellent relations and cooperation between the Dutch Embassy and the NLO Skopje on all NATO-related issues.
